As We Look Back on 2025… Our Victories, Lessons, and the Dream We’re Carrying into 2026
Dec 12, 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting with a very full heart.
This year has been one of growth, courage, creativity, and transformation — not just for me, but for so many of you. When I look back, the greatest reward has been watching you step into your confidence, evolve your craftsmanship, and begin developing something truly special: your signature.
To see your work improve…
To watch nervous hands become confident hands…
To witness artistic curiosity replace fear…
That has been the true victory of 2025.
And I am so proud.
The Most Humbling Lesson of All
After 45 years behind the chair, the greatest truth remains unchanged:
Putting the right look on the right client is still the most humbling process of all.
This year we took consultation to an entirely new level. One of my favorite breakthroughs has been introducing the selfie consultation.
Instead of just looking in the mirror, you invited your client to see herself differently.
You moved the hair. Lifted the fringe. Changed the parting. Tucked. Fluffed. Framed.
And then — the magic — she took her own photos from every angle.
Suddenly, the conversation went deeper.
She could see what worked.
She could feel what felt right.
She became part of the design.
I loved seeing this come alive — especially in moments like when Chila’s guest, originally unsure about any change, ended up choosing a look that completely transformed her. Not only did it build Chila’s confidence… it created one very happy woman.
That’s why we do this.
Our Favorite Hair Moments of 2025

Looking back, I’m smiling at how much beautiful work we created together this year — through:
- The 12-Week Challenge
- The Hair Designer Program
- Our Boot Camps
I have a soft spot for our Retro Boot Camp (oh, those shapes and silhouettes!) and equal love for revisiting the fundamentals — because classics have a way of reminding us who we really are as artists.
Great hair never goes out of style.

The Big Realization
Hairdressing is 80% Psychology… and 20% Mechanics.
This year also marked the birth of something very close to my heart: The Five Archetypes

What a joy it has been coaching you through your dominant style — your tendencies, your habits, your strengths — and helping you find balance.
One of my favorite journeys this year was watching Cora realize she had been a Puppet for her clients — letting them pull the strings, afraid to speak her truth. At the same time, her Technician identity meant she often focused so deeply on perfection… she lost the bigger picture.
And then something beautiful happened.
She found balance.
She gave herself permission to be creative.
She allowed fashion back in.
She softened. She stood taller. She trusted herself.
Bravo, Cora. Truly.
Looking Ahead to 2026…

I firmly believe: 2026 is the year of SHORTER hair.
More polish.
More shape.
More intention.
Long hair isn’t going anywhere — but it is evolving. If your client wears length, it needs to be styled with purpose, personality, and fashion awareness.
But for many? It’s time for change.
And fashion doesn’t just happen. It is designed.
Which is why 2025 was about building the foundation — and 2026 is about putting it into action.
The Mindset for 2026
Here’s what I want you to walk into the new year believing:
All things are possible.
I am becoming the person I want to be.
I am allowed to dream bigger.
I am willing to grow.
What you can achieve in one year is powerful.
What you can achieve in a lifetime is extraordinary.
Let’s plan for both.
Where to Go in 2026 (Your Creative Roadmap)
If you’d like to…
Master Consultation & Confidence
→ Who’s Sitting in Your Chair?
Elevate Your Haircutting
Transform Your Skills as a Designer
Fall in Love with Styling & Creative Play
→ The Fashion Runway Styling Bootcamp
Obsess Over Color
→ The Hair Color Vault
(with guest educators joining this year… magic ahead )
Want It All, Anytime?
→ Hair Design & Soul – Lifetime Access
A little snack… or a full entrée. Your choice.
Whatever you invest in…you will see reflected back in your results.
A Final Thought…
Create a creative corner in your salon.
An iPad.
A mannequin.
Your tools.
When there’s downtime, walk over and say: “It’s time to play.”
Watching is one thing. Doing is where confidence lives.
Which is why our system works:
WATCH → ATTEND → RECREATE → SHARE
That’s Action-Based Learning. And that’s where the magic happens.
A Quote to Step Into 2026 With…
“You don’t become extraordinary by accident.
You become extraordinary because you decided to”
I wish you a year filled with confidence, success, creativity, and beauty.
Dream wildly.
Plan bravely.
Design boldly.
And above all… Never stop becoming.
